Follow 👉 @bettercheatmeals if you want to hit your nutrition goals and eat the food you love. 👊 Makes 2 cakes in 1.5 cup (400ml) glass containers 🥧Ingredients Wet Ingredients -4 tbsp (60 g) applesauce -5 large egg whites -⅓ (38 g) medium ripe banana -¼ tsp vanilla extract -olive oil cooking spray (for glass dish) Dry Ingredients -⅓ cup (44 g) self-raising flour -4 tbsp (34 g) vital wheat gluten -4 tbsp (33 g) cocoa powder -3 tbsp granulated baking sweetener (monk fruit or your preferred brand) -⅛ tsp salt -2½ tsp (9 g) dairy-free, sugar-free chocolate chips (optional) Optional Chocolate Drizzle (not included in nutrition estimates) -1 scoop chocolate non-whey protein powder -¼ cup (60 ml) dairy-free milk 👨‍🍳 Instructions -Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). -Lightly grease baking dishes with non-stick cooking spray -Mix the wet ingredients in a small bowl. Stir until combined. -Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until evenly mixed. -Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until just combined. Mix in the chocolate chips in last. -Pour batter into 2 baking dishes. -Bake for approximately 20-25 min. Start checking if done at 20 min with a toothpick. -Garnish with extra sugar-free, dairy-free chocolate chips or the optional chocolate drizzle. Notes -The texture of this cake is a mix between a traditional chocolate cake and a brownie.
